Bail, Baby and NO KUTA!!!
The best way to see Bali, is to experience it with the locals! They are beautiful people who welcome you with open arms.
I was lucky enough to spend just over a month traveling around Bali. Having just finished uni, and little money we started off the trip in 5 star luxury (it is easy to live that way however you get too comfortable to the point that you don't want to leave the hotel). After the 3rd day that was it! Let's get amongst it and experience Bali!!!
From 5 star, we went to living in a hostel, to home stay and surf bungalows. This was just an amazing experience. I think taking a shower in salt water topped it off!
Towards the end of the trip was my most memorable experience. Meeting a group of kids walking around the beach selling wrist bands so they could eat! I took them out for lunch, and the next day they were waiting outside our hostel until I came out so they could pick a fresh coconut to thank me!!! You can see these pics at the bottom of the post! Their parents wanted a photo so they could see what they looked like!
Absolutely priceless!!! However I did get struck down the the Dangy Fever in during the last week. I was bed-bound and suffering from every symptom of the awful virus.
Make sure you cover up if you are there during the wet season!!!
